Frame materials include acetate, titanium, stainless steel, proprianate, ruthenium, and various hypo-allergenic, lightweight and memory metals.

Some noses sit lower in relation to eyeline, and of course noses come in many shapes and sizes. Asymmetry can be a real problem, too, with some frames offering greater adjustability of angle or of length around the ear. We have special frames which sit inside motorcycle helmets and for those who have had cranial surgery.

One of the most common needs is to protect from wind, to stop eyes from becoming sore or watery. There is now a good selection of wrap-around models from which to choose, and these can be glazed with prescription if required.
